Year 1 and Year 2 had a fantastic day exploring the stunning natural surroundings of Brockhole on Windermere. The visit began with a guided Autumn walk, where the children learnt to identify five different types of trees and observed the seasonal changes taking place in the landscape around them.
After a well-earned lunch, the children took part in a series of hands-on activities. They crafted their own bird feeders to support local wildlife, took part in bird watching, and created leaf paintings using foliage they had collected during their walk. The children really enjoyed getting creative with the natural materials they found, exploring how different shapes, textures and colours could be used to make their artwork unique.
The day was a fantastic blend of learning and fun, and the children were full of enthusiasm throughout. Many of them asked if we could return again soon — a sign of how much they enjoyed the experience!
