At Northside Primary School, we have collaborated with schools across Cumbria Education Trust to create a bespoke Primary Curriculum.
This curriculum is knowledge rich, skill-based and engaging for all pupils. It uses a comprehensive, thematic, creative approach with a clear focus on revisiting skills to embed key knowledge. Furthermore, teachers use research-based teaching strategies and their understanding of the National Curriculum to ensure delivery is vibrant, stimulating, engaging and most of all ‘fun’ for all pupils.
The curriculum incorporates a variety of sources, some which include: White Rose Maths, KAPOW! and KidSafe.
We enrich our curriculum using our local area, outdoor learning, trips, visits, residentials, guest speakers and theme days to ensure all students have first-hand experience of the world around them.
