Cleaner – Northside Primary School

Hours: 10 hours per week, time only working 38+1 weeks per annum

Salary:  Grade 1 £18,333 – actual salary = £4,238.10 (£9.50 per hour)

Northside Primary School is a school very much at the heart of the local community. It has a long and proud tradition of educating and inspiring the children of west Cumbria.  The trustees of our happy and forward-thinking school with superb facilities, located in Workington, seek to employ a cleaner to join our friendly and hard- working team.

The successful candidate will be joining Northside as part of CET at an exciting time, as we continue to build on our successes and move forward on our journey. 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Cleaner to join us as soon as possible.

The successful candidate will:

  • Ensure the maintenance of a clean and orderly working environment.
  • Timely & accurate preparation of routine equipment/resources/materials as set out instructions.
  • Undertake basic record keeping if required.
  • Refill and replace consumables.
  • Report faulty equipment & other maintenance requirements to appropriate person.
  • Maintain the security of school premises by securing entrances/exits as appropriate and reporting potential security breaches.
  • Ensure lights and other equipment are switched off as appropriate.
  • Monitor and record.
